GLASS BEADS

GLASS BEADS is an iron-free, environment-friendly blasting abrasive in accordance with DIN 8201. It consists of fused, broken sodium glass and can be used in accordance with the requirements of BGR 500, Part 2, Section 2.24, “Working with blasting equipment”. GLASS BEADS has the following technical details:

    Silicon dioxide min. 65.00 %
    Aluminium oxide 0.5–2.00 %
    Iron (III) oxide max. 0.15 %
    Magnesium oxide min. 2.50 %
    Calcium oxide min. 8 %
    Sodium oxide min. 14 %
  • Specific weight 2.5 kg/dm3
  • Bulk density, for standard grain sizes 1.50 kg/dm3
  • Mohs hardness approx. 6
  • ISO 9002

    75–125 μm
    90 –150 μm
    100–200 μm
    150–250 μm
    200–300 μm
    300–400 μm
