CORUNDUM SK

CORUNDUM SK I and II are synthetic, mineral environment-friendly, iron-free blastin abrasive in accordance with ISO 11126-7 (SK I) N/FA-WA/G and (SK II) N/FA-A/G. CORUNDUM consists of electrically fused crystallized aluminium oxide Al2O3) and can be used in accordance with the requirements of BGR 500, Part 2, Section 2.24, “Working with blasting equipment.” CORUNDUM has the following technical details:

  • SK I – WHITE FUSED ALUMINIA:
    • > 99.30 % aluminium oxide
    • Specific weight approx. 3.96 kg/dm3
    • Bulk density 1.50–1.80 kg/dm3
    • Mohs hardness approx. 9

  • SK II – BROWN REGULAR FUSED ALUMINIA:
    • > 95 % aluminium oxide
    • Specific weight approx. 3.96 kg/dm3
    • Bulk density 1.60–2.00 kg/dm3
    • Mohs hardness approx. 9
  • CONTAINS NO WATER-SOLUBLE CONSTITUENTS
  • CONTAINS NO FREE CRYSTALLINE SILICIC ACID
  • CONTAINS NO METALLIC IRON

  • SK III – BROWN FeSi ALUMINIA:
    • > 50–60 % aluminium oxide
    • Specific weight approx. 5.1 kg/dm3
    • Bulk density 2.20 kg/dm3
    • Mohs hardness approx. 9
  • CONTAINS NO WATER-SOLUBLE CONSTITUENTS
  • CONTAINS NO FREE CRYSTALLINE SILICIC ACID
  • CONTAINS METALLIC IRON
  • GRAIN SIZES
