Asilux

ASILUX is a synthetic, mineral, environment-friendly decorative building material on the basis of aluminium silicate glass melt, with the following technical details:

  • CHEMICAL ANALYSIS
    Aluminium silicate glass melt;
    chemical composition calculated as oxides:
    Silicon dioxide 42–58 %
    Aluminium oxide 23–32 %
    Iron(III) oxide 3–15 %
    Calcium oxide 2–8.5 %
    Potassium oxide 0.5–4.6 %
    The metals present are chemically bound in the
    form of silicates or aluminates.
  • CONTAINS NO WATER-SOLUBLE CONSTITUENTS
  • CONTAINS NO FREE CRYSTALLINE SILICIC ACID
  • CONTAINS LESS THAN 0.1% METALLIC IRON
  • Specific weight/grain density 2.4–2.6 kg/dm3
  • Bulk density, for standard grain sizes 1.05–1.4 kg/dm3
  • Mohs hardness min. 6
  • GRAIN SIZES
    1.0–2.0 mm
    1.0–3.0 mm
    2.0–5.0 mm
  • PACKING
    25 kg paper bags on EURO pallets
    1.000 kg/ 1.500 kg big bags
    in bulk
  • APPLICATIONS
     Decorative building material, glossy grit

  • SPECIAL FEATURE
    EG certificate of compliance with
    DIN EN 12620:2002-09 is available for ASILUX.
