ASILIKOS ®

ASILIKOS® is a synthetic, mineral, environment-friendly blasting abrasive in accordance with ISO 11126-4 N/GS/G. It consists of slag-tap granulate and can be used in accordance with the requirements of BGR 500, Part 2, Section 2.24, “Working with blasting equipment“. ASILIKOS® has the following technical details:

  • CHEMICAL ANALYSIS
    Aluminium silicate glass melt;
    chemical composition calculated as oxides:
    Silicon dioxide 42–58 %
    Aluminium oxide 23–32 %
    Iron (III) oxide 3–15 %
    Calcium oxide 2–8.5 %
    Potassium oxide 0.5–4.6 %
    The metals present are chemically bound
    in the form of silicates or aluminates.
  • CONTAINS NO WATER-SOLUBLE CONSTITUENTS
  • CONTAINS NO FREE CRYSTALLINE SILICIC ACID
  • Specific weight/grain density 2.4–2.6 kg/dm3
  • Bulk density, for standard grain sizes 1.05–1.4 kg/dm3
  • Mohs hardness min. 6

    0.2–1.4 mm
