The right choice is half the job The efficiency of an abrasive is governed by a variety of factors. In addition to its physical properties (hardness, toughness, spec. weight, grain size and shape) its performance is determined by air pressure, nozzle size, impingement angle, hardness of the object, nature of impurities on the surface to be cleaned and other variables. It is therefore practically impossible to calculate generally valid performance values. However, comparable data can be determined under the same test conditions.
